Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place in elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

Disability services and social psychiatry is one of three departments within the social care administration. The department is responsible for LSS housing, daily activities, housing support, short-term stays, and personal assistance. We are about 250 employees who work with great commitment, focusing on the individual's needs and believing in their own abilities. We work purposefully to ensure our operations have high competence and quality.

Within the department, we work for collaboration between workplaces and competence development for our employees. Therefore, we work in collaborative groups where we help each other meet the needs in our operations and share knowledge and ideas between workplaces. This means that you, as a future employee, will have a regular workplace where you work the majority of your shifts, and some shifts may be carried out at another workplace.

We are now looking for a support assistant for Daily Activities at the activity house. With us, you will help create an active and meaningful everyday life for the participants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant at the activity house, you are an important person for our participants. You make a difference for them every day by supporting them in their activities and contributing to increased independence and participation through clear pedagogy.

As a support assistant, you create an active and meaningful everyday life for our participants. The work involves supporting kitchen routines, shopping, laundry, and recycling, as well as leading or participating in creative activities, music, theater, and movement. You also work in our sensory rooms, use digital aids, and contribute to the care of the garden. Throughout the day, you support the participants based on their abilities and promote participation and development.

As a support assistant, it is important that you are flexible and responsive as the participants and activities dictate how the day will look. You create good communication and collaboration with the regular staff on site. Together with the participant, you create a meaningful everyday life and a safe and developing environment that moves the individual forward.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to be confident in yourself and have the ability to inspire others, be engaged, and gentle in your approach towards the participants. You value the participants' own abilities and are present in everyday life with them.

To be qualified for the position, you must have:

• Completed documented education from the child and youth program, nursing program, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• You should have good computer skills and find it exciting to work with digital tools.
• Since communication and documentation are central and important parts of the operation, the job requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both verbally and in writing.
• At least 2 years of documented work experience from Daily Activities.
• Driver's license B

Meritorious are:

• Knowledge and experience in LSS
• Experience and/or theoretical knowledge regarding the design of clear communication support
• Experience and/or theoretical knowledge regarding low-affective approaches.
• Experience and/or theoretical knowledge regarding clear pedagogy.
